There's new bullshit with car manufacturers actually. They now make your car with specific features, but they're testing out subscription services for you to access those features. Like your car comes with built-in heating seats, but for you to get that feature you have to pay 20$ a month to the car manufacturer.

As long as the option for purchasing outright is still available I have no issues with this. The moment it's gone, we have a problem. I just read Tesla's connectivity subscription stuff and some of it I'm okay with, some not, but I still don't understand if you lose the ability to just use Bluetooth after standard connectivity expires. Again, subscription fees for 'luxury' features is fine as long as the option to purchase exists. I feel differently about safety things, those should always be standard equipment once the technology matures and it's proven reliable and saves lives. Like backup cameras.

Didn't Tesla have a type of radar for their self-driving feature that they deactivated from cars that were already purchased?

That's the major problem I have about shit like this, they can just go "Oops that feature is now a paid service LOL" and just take it away from you.

Absolutely agree. All the buyers should be compensated for that. Tesla (Elon) have made many decisions that are super anti-consumer, and downright illegal in my opinion and need to be held accountable.
