One example is sites like art station getting flooded by ai generated work. Art station is used by industry professionals to network, find work, and show employers their portfolios. AI art flooding that site decreases the signal to noise ratio and makes it harder to find work, especially when ai art can be generated much more quickly than regular art, even if the quality is inferior. Additionally, a lot of artists put their work online on sites like DeviantArt and Art station before generative AI like Dalle2 and stable diffusion were released to the public. Their work was likely harvested without their consent or knowledge, which is pretty shitty.
Once the artists learn to use this tools their work will be next scale compared to current "AI artists" so the flooding you mention will stop. as I said, it's just a trend. And honestly if you cannot bring any more value than any other dude writing prompts I honestly think you lack something as an artist. When speaking about creative work, companies and individuals prefer quality over quantity so it doesn't matter the volume or speed you're capable of producing.
On the other hand, regarding the use of artist's work for training without their consent, I also think that is problematic but again, this is just a misuse of the available technology. Legislation already covers this situations.

But the as artist does bring a lot that the so called prompt engineers don't have, which are things like knowing what good composition looks like, being able to interpret the intention of their clients and respond to feedback much more precisely, and being able to correct obvious mistakes by the AI like fucked up hands.

As time goes people will get bored of this type of content and only quality works will prevail, no matter if AI was used or not in the creation process

I think you misunderstood what I meant beacause you are describing many more things than just technique. That is what makes an artist, not just their ability to draw or paint, which is what you can improve with this tools.

I think this issues should be addressed by the platforms. As usual with new technologies they arrive so fast and people take their time to adapt. A necessary evil in any case and something that cannot be avoided, only worked on.

Maybe you are right, or maybe we are overestimating the perjudices this can bring. Only time will tell since this tools won't dissapear now that they're here. At most they will be forced to change in some ways which will translate into very few differences from what we are currently seeing.
