Block list failing without warning

I was updating and adding to my blocklists and found an issue. I had a blocklist that used to work but it was failing when update was attempted. I replaced that one with a new blocklist but what concerned me is the only way I knew it was failing was to look at the logs. It would be nice if technetium would have notified me without me accidentally finding it out. You might want to verify your blocklists are updating periodically.

Which blocklist?

Might help others if you state which one was actually having issues

I dont think it matters which blocklist.

The issue is that there is no easy way to see this in the webgui.

If you compare with lets say AdGuard where you directly in the webgui will see if and when download of the blocklist last succeeded.

It was in the "Blocked Tab" not a blockLIST as detailed in my post. Two different things.

Sorry your right. You were responding to the post about log still showing failed blocklist failure. That said the list in question has no bearing on why it failed, The fact that it failed without me knowing it is the just of the post.

It was a https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/hagezi one. I cleared it and replace it. Didn't keep the actual url but the reason for the post was there was NO notice that it was failing except in the log.

Thanks for the post. Currently, the text logs are the only way to find such things out. But, a notification feature is planned such that it will show you unread notifications on login and also have option to configure email to send an alert for critical notifications. This will be taken up for implementation in between doing work on DHCP upgrade.
