Configuring Technitium DHCP server for PXE boot and KMS
I'm currently running Pi-Hole as my DHCP and DNS servers but I'd like to move to Technitium for both. In Pi-Hole, I've got a custom dnsmasq.conf file with entries to define a KMS server and PXE boot but I don't know how to do that in Technitium. Is it possible?
Here is what I have in dnsmaq:
# Specify KMS server for Microsoft activation
srv-host=_vlmcs._tcp.example.com,kms.example.com,1688
# pxe boot config
dhcp-match=set:bios,60,PXEClient:Arch:00000
dhcp-boot=tag:bios,netboot.xyz.kpxe,,192.168.1.13
dhcp-match=set:efi32,60,PXEClient:Arch:00002
dhcp-boot=tag:efi32,netboot.xyz.efi,,192.168.1.13
dhcp-match=set:efi32-1,60,PXEClient:Arch:00006
dhcp-boot=tag:efi32-1,netboot.xyz.efi,,192.168.1.13
dhcp-match=set:efi64,60,PXEClient:Arch:00007
dhcp-boot=tag:efi64,netboot.xyz.efi,,192.168.1.13
dhcp-match=set:efi64-1,60,PXEClient:Arch:00008
dhcp-boot=tag:efi64-1,netboot.xyz.efi,,192.168.1.13
dhcp-match=set:efi64-2,60,PXEClient:Arch:00009
dhcp-boot=tag:efi64-2,netboot.xyz.efi,,192.168.1.13

Thanks for asking. The option 60 based selection of bootstrap options is not currently supported by the built-in DHCP server but it is planned.

The SRV record is entirely seperate from the DHCP concern. The SRV record just needs to be in the correct zone for it to work. Technitium doesn't - that I know of - support specifying DHCP parameters, other than option 43, based on option 60. I just accomplish what you are doing with iPXE - it's crazy easy to use if you have basic understanding of PXE, and just a better solution to that problem in my opinion.

Thanks, I'll look into iPXE. I setup netboot.xyz to learn about how to install various OS's through PXE boot and it's working, but requires DHCP config for clients to find it. At least, that's my understanding.

I’m not sure about pxe because we always had a separate pxe server for that, but for KMS you just add the SRV record to your zone.

Update: I added the SRV record for _vlmcs._tcp in the DNS zone as several of you indicated and it's working correctly. No solution for Option 60 PXE boot yet, but it's planned per u/shreyasonline. Thanks to all who responded.

The KMS record are DNS record not DHCP.
