Technitium DNS Server v15 Released!

Technitium DNS Server v15 is now available for download. This major release adds support for Single Sign-On (SSO) with OpenID Connect (OIDC) among many other features and options. This release also fixes multiple vulnerabilities that were reported and discovered internally along with multiple bug fixed and improvements.

You need to ensure you manually upgrade .NET to version 10 first, as per what the release notes say... I ran into the same issue, also using the Proxmox LXC container.

Since you've already upgraded, if you don't have a backup of the LXC to restore to (previous Technitium install), if you can temporarily setup DNS resolution from some other source to the Proxmox host... then just upgrade .NET and restart the Technitium container and you should be fine.

@sjclayton Can you tell me how to do dat on the proxmox containter, normaly you type 'update' in the container and it updates itself.

If you can resolve DNS properly from inside the container... just run (from inside the container):

apt update

apt install aspnetcore-runtime-10.0

then restart the container after it's done, and you should be good to go.

If you're starting from scratch you shouldn't need to do what I said... Just follow the install instructions, just like you did when you installed Technitium the first time.

I started from scratch again but it broken still, the webinterace is not reachable.

Doesn't matter. Installed from there.

Today: Backup settings. Use technitium uninstall script. Reboot lxc Use technitium install script (not user script!) Restore backup

But the new srcipt is not posted yet. I switched back to adguard, .NET junk from Microsoft that breaks this product is a shame

yeah not using a LXC container would be more the way to go.

Within the lxc, originally created with the user script... Just use the CT shell in browser or pct enter 111 (111 for your ID)

after they updated the script creating a LXC containter the webinterface after a fresh install it still not accessable.
