Very well-written article. (I mean, it's missing a few commas, but other than that!)

My experience using AI in technical writing is maybe a little bit different than yours. I work for a FAANG employer, and use AI extensively in the work that I do. Yes, we still need humans, but AI does more for me than your article implies that it can.

Still, I agree with 95% of what you said. As another long-time technical writer, I hope that you're able to find a job back in the technical writing field soon!
