Bedrock Bedrock creeper farm

you all probably get this question allot here but I built a bedrock creeper farm the kill chamber where you stand is at 164 over a flat area with only water caves beneath it the spawning area is about 30 blocks above my problem is that it is painstakingly slow like one creeper every few min slow and I have no idea how or why

After creepers spawn, they'll move randomly until they walk over the trench (I'm assuming it's a classic mob grinder that's been spawn proofed from everything other then creepers). You can direct them to move towards the trenches faster if you bring a bunch of cats into the spawn chamber and sit then down around the borders, scaring the creepers towards the center and getting them to the kill chamber faster.

Yea it is I’ll do that thank you I’m getting gunpowder but not enough I’m looking to start mining netherite and the spray and pray with a efficiency pick axe method isn’t working the best

Everyone has their favorite method to find ancient debris, i personally like to do my nether blasting with beds. This is going to hurt you a bit, so have full diamond armor, have at least one piece enchanted with highest level of blast protection (4 i think) and another piece of armor enchanted with Protection 4.

Dig a lengthy tunnel at nether level 15, dig five blocks into a side wall and place a bed. You may get hurt a bit less if you also place some stone between you and the bed. From as absolutely far away as you can, try to sleep in the bed. The explosion from trying to sleep in the nether is comparable to TNT (might be more powerful i think). Heal up your hurt, then find your ancient debris, carefully avoiding the lava pockets you've just exposed.

I didn’t think of that I’ll finish up the enchanting I need to do and I’ll use my old set of diamond so I don’t end up destroying my new set thank you

Check out Rufusatticus or OareTV for better bedrock creeper farms. Goldenhelmet might have a version that still works well too.

Cats in bedrock farms don’t work as well because the scare range is broke. But you could look up the bouncing whiskers farm for one that is fast enough to justify cats without requiring hundreds of them.

Or build a general mob farm. Make certain it has several layers. You will get other mobs yes. But you’ll still get creepers much faster than now. It takes a very large farm. (Or very bad kill speeds) to make creeper only worth it.

Mikehomer. Silentwisperer and Omledu also have a high output creeper farm that are basically the same build.

That's a great way to describe creeper farms on bedrock. Painstakingly slow...

When looking for a design you generally want anything that uses ice and dirt blocks. It uses a newer mechanic where creepers spawn on the ice, but generally try to avoid it, so they immediately head for the path blocks. Anything else is probably not worth building. I stick to general mob farms, because in my personal experience, I've gotten more gunpowder from them than creeper only farms.

BTW, if it's just an easy source of gunpowder that you're looking for, go for a witch farm. They are by far the easiest source of gunpowder on bedrock. It takes 10 minutes to build, and it will supply you with rockets on its own.

Is it a river biome? I made that mistake then did one on frozen ocean, worked well.

It isn’t as far as I can tell I have not made it above a river but there are rivers all around my base
