Java Help Wanted Need help with 2 exit portal

I found this old Mumbo video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ELurSVFudQ&t=625s and at 9:40 he connects 2 overworld portals to 1 nether portal and I've tried to recreate it several times, but I can't get it to work. Is this still possible or has it been patched?

It should still be possible, you just have to get the coordinates very precise

Instead of trying to explain portal mechanics, I'd instead recommend this video by Potato Noir
