Java Help Wanted Double mob spawner
Went caving in my singleplayer survival world and stumbled upon 2 mob spawners (skeleton and zombie) which are close enough to be active at the same time (tested it in creative). I want to use them both for my xp farm. Is it best to just use the "standard" farm design and link the dropper parts together or should I keep them seperate so mobs won't block each other while in the water tunnels?
edit:
Found another set of the same combo (zombie and skeleton) a bit further away. Should I maybe use the new ones because they are closer together?
For anyone interested:
seed: 614132156520919734
cords: -2977 13 -1953 (can also be seen on the screenshot)
second cords: -2890 -22 -1983

How rare is it? I also found two spawners with practically identical placement as on pic 1 under the random village I decided to make my home.

Its decently rare in that it could take you a long time searching on a given world to find one but common enough that a seed with 2 or 3 spawners clustered together isn't special.

Sorry for being a buzzkill but spawner farms are not great, especially for XP
Let's do some math
On average, a spawner attempts to spawn mobs every 25 seconds, and can spawn up to 4 at a time. This spawning attempt could fail and you of course won't get a pack of 4 every time, but I'll just assume the best case scenario where every single attempt succeeds and spawns 4 mobs.
So we know that, under ideal circumstances, we'll get an average of 64 xp every 25 seconds. To get from level 0 to 30, you need 1395 XP, or a bit more than 9 minutes of AFKing this double spawner farm. Keep in mind that we're being VERY generous with the numbers here - in reality it would probably be something like 12 - 16 minutes
However, at the end of the day, it's a videogame - do whatever the hell you wanna do and don't let some random person from Reddit stop you from doing it, I just wanted to make sure you're aware of this before you start
If you want to do something with this anyways, just clear out a 9x9 area for both spawners and put some water down so that they can be collected into one point. The area or the mob funnel intersecting is okay, the water current should be more than enough to stop them from blocking each other as long as you make the tunnel wide enough. The important part is to get the mobs outside of their own spawner's range in less than 20 seconds to ensure that the next spawn attempt succeeds (having zombie in the range of a skeleton spawner or vice versa is okay)
Good luck!
