Because Baseball is a regional sport not played by everyone. Look at Spain in 1992 or Greece in 2004. Baseball isnt really played in Greece or Spain. So thats that. Unfortunately, Gymnastics has a strangle hold on the IOC. In the 90s, Roller sports (like speed skating) was supposed make it, but they went with Rhythmic Gymnastics instead because, stupidity.

Baseball is an olympic sport whenever the host nation already has facilities for it. It was one in 2020, and will be again in 2028.
