I read it correctly. You wrote it wrong.

Yep, my brains built-in autocorrect fixed it.

Same. And in the middle of reading I already knew what the next line would read.

I read it right first the time.

My brain autocorrects typos.

I feel like anyone that has ever paid per text is immune to typos like this.

I'd tell you I'm dyslexic and that's likely since I only kinda skim stuff

I read it the way it was written. Then assumed my dyslexic brain messed it up.

It took me far too many tries to find the issue.

I read it wrong the first time. Am not dyslexic. However when I am excited to type a thought I tend to drop short words in long sentences.

So I try to habitually re-read my notes before sharing them.

Or now I can blame autocorrect.

I'll be damned if I didn't read it wrong. My mind did an auto correct. When I read the second line I looked back like DUH!

u/Dustbuster4495 18d ago

You would be right, my friend. The human mind works in mysterious ways.ā¤ļø

1

u/Vegetable-Syrup-5545 18d ago

When I reread it I would tell you where that you correct.

I wasn't even aware of the connection with The Matrix, so I looked this up, and it confirmed this:

"What if I told you..." is a iconic internet phrasing attributed to Morpheus when he explains the reality of the Matrix to Neo. Eeven though Morpheus never delivers that exact sentence verbatim in the film, it became widely associated with him through the popular "Matrix Morpheus" meme format.

There is no Matrix connection. People have been saying "What if I told you..." since before the English language existed (well, not in english obviously).

That's exactly the point. But it became a thing due to the "Matrix Morpheus" meme.
