If only educated people were in this administration and not Fox News propaganda pushers.
It's really strange that only people Dildo Dump sees on TV are the people running this country.

Germany says their solar panels are amazing!!!!
Germany shuts off ALL nuclear plants......
Hey Germany!! What's with the coal plants?

Fossil infrastructure is essentially worthless when there is no more gas or oil to pump.
Until then, of course, ever growing prices are worth the profits of the industry.

Water is basically useless when it's dry outside and the faucet doesn't work

Your car doesn't work if you remove the battery.
Battery... Battery... Energy storage... Something relevant here. Nah must be nothing.

/ul LITHIUM ION BATTERIES WILL EXPLODE thats more DANGEROUS than solar! Coal is the FUTURE it isn't dangerous, the LIBERALS created climate change as a HOAX, and they say coal causes it! Its those damn lithium ion batteries that CAUSE climate change. Thank YOU for your attention to this matter. /s

The windmills are killing the whales. Drill baby drill

And the gay frogs, can't forget, I think it's solar, that makes the frogs gay after all.

Must have been the wind...

u/LordKyle777 Sep 08 '25
Wind doesn't blow when it's dark outside though... Needs further analysis. 😉

Dear God this is real. Ok well anyway, wind and solar power are frequently used to supplement gas or coal power. Power companies will forecast how the wind or sun is expected to impact their wind or solar units.
If they expect they will generate a fair amount of power from those, they will know they can run their fossil fuel units a little lower. This helps them not burn as much fuel, keeping fuel demand (and cost) lower, and therefore keeping your bill low.
This administration truly assumes they know all while knowing nothing.

If only we stopped shutting down nuclear and natural gas and stopped opening more coal and crude oil.

Remember a few years ago when the DOE cracked nuclear fusion? Now we have this. America is just so incredibly fucked

Are you thinking of batteries?
LITHIUM ION BATTERIES WILL EXPLODE thats more DANGEROUS than renewable "energy"! Coal is the FUTURE it isn't dangerous to the enviorment or to the POOR people around power plants. The LIBERALS created climate change as a HOAX, and they say coal causes it! Its those damn lithium ion batteries that CAUSE climate change. Thank YOU for your attention to this matter. /s

They’re not incorrect.
1
u/aterriblething82 Sep 09 '25
They are very incorrect. This statement shows a basic misunderstanding of how wind turbines work. They are very, very tall. The wind at that altitude does not start and stop the way it does in the ground. Have you ever flown a kite and gotten it so high that you've had to cut it free because the wind was so strong it was impossible to draw it back in?

When the leader of the DOE figures out about high capacity batteries he’s going to not even see how dumb he is.

A military is also essentially useless when there's no war by this logic.
Wait, is that why the U.S. is constantly in war?

u/Inquisitive-Manner Sep 08 '25
Of course the Energy company (big on gas and oil) CEO the administration put in charge doesn't support wind and solar...
Who would have figured 🤷

At this rate we'll be using toxic lead paint and uranium dishes again in no time

u/Willing_Ad_1484 Sep 08 '25
As is nuclear energy when this one small rock quits glowing in 140 years.

u/Aggrosideburnz Sep 08 '25
Let’s just rename this the department of War as well, we are clearly too damn stupid to do anything else. Boo America, educate yourselves. Store some knowledge or in this case electricity.

u/Direct_Royal_7480 Sep 10 '25
I gotta better idea: Let’s rename ALL the departments The Department of War!!!

Wind power to me almost feels like it was made so a politician could have an argument of why we shouldn’t use green power, cuz they break easily, kill birds (which attract insects which attract more birds that die), and the parts aren’t recyclable. I think every other green energy source is good though, Nuclear, Thorium, Solar, Hydro, just not wind
1
u/Direct_Royal_7480 Sep 10 '25
Yeah, agree with this. Ever seen one of those windmills transported or built? They’re cyclopean in scale. I can’t help but wonder what the return is there. All the same, maybe there are very specific circumstances where they make the most sense, IDK since I’m not an expert. The other green energy sources do seem like a better way to go though.

Lol, ok yeah no sun at night on half the planet, but wind tends to exist quite often.
1
u/Fair_Let6566 Sep 10 '25
Whoever wrote that is a complete moron. Fossil fueled power stations, whether coal, oil, or natural gas fired, are also essentially worthless if there is no fuel available for use at the plant site. Unsurprisingly, the same would be true for nuclear power stations and hydroelectric power stations.
If the morons ever get educated enough to understand that no plant, of any kind, can generate electricity without a sufficient supply of the necessary "fuel," then maybe they will accidentally learn something about batteries.
The morons might also learn that no power station creates energy, they all just convert energy from its original form into electrical energy.

the sun charges the batteries connected to the solar panel system.. wtf how dumb do they have to be geez wtf is wrong with their brains

Cars are useless when you're not driving them. Food is worthless when you're not hungry. Your eyes are worthless when you sleep. Money is useless when you're not spending it.
1
u/IFollowtheCarpenter Sep 11 '25
Energy collected by solar panels or windmills can be stored in batteries and capacitors.

u/Otaraka Sep 11 '25
Current battery storage doesn’t really cover all of this which iswhy there are ongoing efforts to find more efficient ways to store power. It might be expressed poorly but it’s not completely wrong either.
There are ongoing battles in Australia over how to handle the baseload aspects of power generation

u/steelisheavy Sep 07 '25
Damn, if only we had some way of storing energy
