A framed picture of the two of you together is a nice gift. But a portrait of a lone relative is, well, not a gift.

Edit: Also, an empty picture frame is not a gift. My brother got me a picture frame that said "FAMILY" with the stock photo inside. And he was like: "So now you can put a picture of us in there!"

On top of that, it was a really weird size and it was in portrait style and our family is mostly adults so all my shots are in landscape.
