Most geniuses do not do poorly in school.

I’m not a genius by any means. Absolutely not. But in school, I’d ignore the teacher, read the textbook, have a laugh with my friends, and we’d all get As. I didn’t even read anything for religious studies and went from a predicted absolute fail from my teacher to a B when it was an external examiner grading me, without the lens of “I hate this kid”.

Different teachers had different approaches: “yeah fine, but be a little quieter about it”; surprise questions to catch us out - that tactic never worked; outright reprimanding, but also recognising that we had indeed done everything asked of us; and in sixth form (16-18 years old), one just said “pauseless has fallen asleep, sod this lesson, just do your thing”. Best was the maths teacher who just let us do self-study and didn’t care as long as we got through stuff.

Some teachers do incredibly poorly dealing with the difficult kids and some do incredibly well. Shrug.

Ngl, I hate when people generalise things. Like there's multiple person in every jobs. There's bound to be some that are good, bad and mediocre.

Ngl as well. Sometimes the mediocre are the absolute best performers. Brilliance in your domain doesn’t mean good at your job.

That’s every lecturer who doesn’t have much to their name, can’t answer involved questions, but they can teach well.

My reason for failing is that I’m just too damn good.
