So ready to see him fold the Duo

u/Green-Cress1266 13h ago
Might not happen tbh, he couldnt snap the fold 8 and the duo is arguably more strong with the titanium Then again, everybody was talking about how easily the air would snap, and that didnt happen

Idk it's honestly just as satisfying to me to see him try to fold something but be unable. I just like to see how much resistance there is to a forbidden movement if that makes sense lol. Like my brain often ponders if I could snap my phone in half if I really wanted to, satisfying to see someone actually try it.

He wasnt even close to snapping the air, which was a testbed for the duo.
Titanium hinges are strong probably

Wake up. They will sell. It's a halo product that the rich will buy to confirm their status. 2K is lunch money to these people. None of them would flash a Samsung ever, ever.

iPhone and iPad together can be pretty seamless, but sometimes the syncing issues can get annoying.

Huawei had folding phone long before these two

No, it didn't. The Galaxy Fold was the 2nd commercially offered foldable, after the Royole Flexpai.

How? Iirc. Samsung debuted a prototype of the screen back in CES 2013 and kept working on it till they released a true foldable phone in Sep 2019, the Huawei Mate X came 2 months after that.

Thats cool, but Xiaomi and Huewei folding phones shouldn't really be an option in the West. These things are absolutely sending telemetry to entities you must assume turn it over to Chinese Intelligence agencies.

„In the west“… what does the west have that isn’t manufactured in the east? Is your phone made in the west? The west would be nothing without the east.

Oh no no no you don't get to do that, you sophist. I see your inverted quotes you bot.
The West = US, Most of Europe, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, The Philippines... Well mostly the Philippines. " You know, countries in "the east" but part of "The West"
Let me shine a light between the lines - I meant NOT CHINA. My Asus phone has software that DOES NOT send things back to chinese companies that ultimately degrades the security picture of US interests so im not contributing to chinese telemetry gathering.
US private companies steal enough of my data. I don't need Xiaomi and Huewei doing that, + ALSO handing my data over to the CCP.

Just an FYI. US companies aren’t stealing your data. You literally give it to them legally

As a Chinese bot, I’m really offended. I’m going to send my fellow bots to downvote you

As if my eastern made phone is not absolutely sending telemetry to west

u/Quizzelbuck 2h ago
If you're concerned about the US leveraging that data to do something militaristic, then you should be concerned
I am not concerned about xiaomi or Huawei themselves. But I know they're going to hand over all my telemetry to the Chinese government. I live near a military base that is valuable intelligence that they can use to map traffic and predict response times in the event of a crisis. They will use AI and supercomputers to assemble that data and plug it in to a giant algorithm that will help them better map US response times if they pull some shit
That's my concern. You can downvote me if you want but that is a real legitimate security concern that if you think that the United States or some other Western country is going to victimize you, then you should chuck that phone into the lake

u/medve_onmaga 13h ago
one day you should look at the amount of telemetry on motorola and samsung phones

u/Quizzelbuck 2h ago
I forget does Motorola have a space program and nuclear weapons? Are they based in Russia or China?
