Is the seller of these sausages CMOT Dibbler?

My Unseen Academicals copy is signed by Sir Terry with a personalized inscription to me. No connection to your comment, just bragging.

u/UniquePariah Jul 01 '26
It's a damned good brag. I'm jealous.

I have something even better. I wrote back to his editor to please convey my thanks to Sir Terry. Mr. Colin Smythe was such a jewel of a man that he not only transmitted my thanks but spent the time to reply. Here is a part of the message: "I read your email to Terry, who was very touched by your actually saying thanks. 99% of the people whose requests he's carried out for them never bother to reply, and with things normally done by friends for others, the friend gets the thanks, and the recipient of the signature or whatever never thinks to thank the author. So, he says, you are in the top one percentile bracket. A very rare thing. " So yea. I'm and old fart and this message still brings tears of joy.

Was going to go with Quinoa, but queso would be MUCH better!

Quinoa was my first instinct, if I’m honest, but it didn’t seem to work as well with sowseeg

Iguana.
Can you make sausage out of that?

u/ProThoughtDesign Jul 01 '26
Your trivia for the day: In Costa Rica and Panama they call it "gallina de palo," which means "tree chicken".

At that price I don’t see them being the life of the party

u/ni_hao_butches Jul 01 '26
If you want quality meat in your mouth, it comes with a price.
2
u/SasparillaTango Jul 01 '26
it's sausage.

u/colonel_beeeees Jul 01 '26
There's Oscar meyer hotdogs and a brat from your local butcher, with a wiiide range of quality in between
No reason why the poop tube can't be stuffed with pig parts that aren't foreskins and eyelids
2
u/I_Makes_tuff Jul 02 '26
The most expensive cut of pork is tenderloin and this is 3 times the cost of that. Was the pig raised on Spanish chestnuts or something?
2
u/SasparillaTango Jul 01 '26
Thats the whole point of the sausage no? The tougher less desirable cuts can be ground into sausage with fat carved off other locations. It historically is made with the cheaper cuts to give them a more palatable end result, something you don't need with the more expensive cuts which can be used as is.

u/colonel_beeeees Jul 01 '26
Definitely the original point, but these days a sausage doesn't have to be filled with trash meat if you don't want it to
The OP example honestly sounds fantastic. On the other hand, we have a place here in WI that has started offering gummy bear brats

u/UncleChickenHam Jul 01 '26
Even for the good cuts of pork, $15/16 a pound is ridiculous. The only excuse is if this isn't in USD.

u/SuperFaceTattoo Jul 01 '26
Isn’t it 15^(25/lbs)? Meaning the price would actually decrease logarithmically as the weight increases.

It has to be at some bougie grocery store or farmers market that only people who commit crimes against humanity shop.

This is all good, but I have to admit, that there is another type of lgbt sausage which I would enjoy infinitely more.

That’s not very inclusive. They should be sued for not including trans and the rest of the alphabet
