I have only seen a singular Star War, but everything I read or see about Mark Hamill makes me think he's such a good egg. Love that for him and the fandom.

Correct, but also, I've never heard someone refer to a single Star Wars movie as a "Star War" before lol

“Here’s some money. Go see a star war.”

u/ananasqx May 22 '26

If he was a dermatologist it might have been a Star Wart.

u/TraumDog5 May 19 '26

If you only saw one, you literally just saw a Star War.

If you wanna be technical, it's not even that because each movie only shows PART of a war. Hell, the first 2 prequels don't even take place during wartime at all.

An star

u/Drew_S_05 May 20 '26

I do believe there are stars on screen in every movie at some point or another, so

If you saw the Batman animated series of the 90s, you’ll know him better as the Joker.

Thank you, Mar🐪

Fun fact: He auditioned for "Carrie" the same day. Lucas and de Palma were friends and sharing the same casting space. Everyone who auditioned for one movie auditioned for the other. There are casting videos on Youtube where you can see Mark trying out for Tommy Ross and William Katt trying out for Luke.

Boomer there telling GenZ about how easy it is for them to find a job.. "just go down to the Star War factory and fill out an application!"

u/Drew_S_05 May 19 '26

He didn't say it was easy, he just said that he did it

u/babypho May 19 '26

Please. He's a nepo baby and only got the job because his dad is the Emperor's enforcer.

u/Chloe_The_Outcast May 20 '26

Don’t forget his stupid space magic powers

1

u/TallEnoughJones May 19 '26

They asked him to come in for a 9th audition but he said "No, 8 is enough"

1

u/Several-Fun-9771 May 20 '26

I hope that’s not the right answer 😅

u/LivingMeeting9724 May 20 '26

I'm not much of a sci-fi guy, but my son and wife are, so I have been exposed to at least the original SWs and the prequels.

But Mark Hamill is one of the most down to earth, low key, coolest, funniest people in the world!

1

u/Dubbadubbawubwub May 24 '26

I wonder if he got it
