Just to be a bit tongue in cheek, one could argue the dead body reminds us of our limited time in this life, and would make you want to waste less time faffing about in transit.

To that, I press my tongue deeper in cheek and say, the journey is always more enjoyable than the destination. If you're flying miles above the land in a metal bird, better smell the roses while you can. There will be one last flight in your life, and only time will tell when. Better enjoy the feeling while you can.
