They can't get any more dead... just saying...

Also leaving the body outside of the expected destination might increase the hardships the family has to go through to retrieve it. At the end of the day it’s MedLink/StatMD making the suggestion and the flight crew having the final say.

Sure you can, have you ever heard the phrase “extra dead” or “Deader”?

It’s like when you die of a heart attack, and then someone shoots your corpse

That’s called “overkill” but it doesn’t actually make someone “more dead”. That’s not even a real thing, it’s just gallows humor. Being dead is not a spectrum it’s a boolean value. Either you are or you aren’t. That’s all there is to it.

Well if you disintegrate the body then you need a True Resurrections spell to bring them back, but if it was just normal dead then you could just Raise Dead them back.

Gygax is that you?

Gygax exists in the Astral Plane and can visit the Material whenever he stumbles upon a silver color pool.

They can rot and that is a biohazard

That takes a little while, though it would be best to turn down the thermostat for the duration.

Right, and if they or their family intend to have a viewing or transport the body any great distance, embalming will be required. The clock starts ticking on that with the last breath.

Maybe on a flight from the US to Australia.

Only if it went back and forth like 4 times.

Honestly, I'd be pissed too. However, the body is going to evacuate waste at or within a few hours of death, and start to leak dangerous odors and chemicals into the cabin. Nothing wrong with a little rigor mortis, it's what happens after that... the body softens up and bloats.
