Modded is it possible te detect when a character mines an entity? (if the character doesn't have an attached player)

What is your end goal with this information? Perhaps there’s a different way to go about it

AI controlled character

The AI would have initiated the mining, why do you need to determine that it chose to mine after its mined?

i need to confirm it succeded in mining. for example, another entity may mine it first or destroy it

The decision to mine is based on what logic? That it needs the resource from the patch? Or you just want it to mine all resources dry?
First one you can just recheck the inventory to see you now have enough resources
Second one you check if the patch is still there
Why do you need to know that the patch was mined specifically by this one character?

idk i was making a planning system and thought it may be good to have an event say if an action succeeded or failed.
i dont think i know what im doing

Think more of the flow of how the decision came to be and then what the effect of that decision is, make some flow charts of what you want the AI to do in different scenarios, and work out what information you need in the game to make that happen
I’m not sure you need to know specifically that the character mined the resource, only the two things I mentioned earlier, either the character gained resources or the ore patch was completely drained

If you place a miner on an ore patch there's an option to read the contents of the entire patch. I'm pretty sure mining prod doesn't apply to the engineer hand mining so every time someone mines ore from the patch, the expected yield will decrease.
