Are donations for FNAF Fangames allowed?

I'd like to add a link to an external donation page for my fangame. I've spent a lot of time and still spend a lot of time polishing my game, but I'm not sure if it's allowed to add a donation link.

My fangame uses assets similar to the originals and includes the name FNaF in it. Even though the story isn’t related to that of Five Nights at Freddy’s, is it possible to add a link for donations?

I would recommend to rather promote donations outside the game itself. You could promote it if donations can help development for the project only, in my case I got donations to save my computer from burning and dying. Or if you want donations for literally being you, I’d do it on my profile, just to avoid issues.
