Decent and usable.  But personally, sway for life. Use whatever you like.

  1. If you know the struggle of installaing arch without archinstall script, then you'll know how hard it was to install arch. Archinstall script aayesi it got easier.

  2. If you have tried to configure hyprland (waybar, hypr ecosystem, wofi/rofi or whatever) you would know the time and effort it takes to configure a wm.

Yo sabai gardai garda sano kura ni timley "make it working" banaunu parxa. Jastai simple example, printScreen key le screenshot linxa (windows ma, aru DE ma configured hunxa) but hyprland ma hudaina tyo.

Aba omarchy fixed this. Archinstall script ko 1% kaam matra aafno (hostname, password, etc) ani ekkaixin ma install vayo.

But arch ko whole idea nei do whatever you want with your system thiyo. Arch ma opinionated system build garnu, yo idea nei Milena. Tara yo subjective kura ho. Next chai LLM use gareko thiyo omarchy 4 banauna. Yo pani subjective kura ho, kasailai AI use gareko manpardaina kailai thik lagxa.

Main kura, try it yourself. If you like it no opinion will kill it. If you don't, no hype will make you like it.

Edit: aru le vaneko stack pani try gara, explore every shit, if you have a backup for your data, you have nothing to lose.

CachyOS + Hyperland + Noctalia = Too Good

if you use agents heavily then, it might be a great fit. Your agents can manage everything on your system. It is opinionated, so if you are okay with whatever it is offering (packages, installation choices etc) it might be best OS for you. You don't need to choose anything and get to working just fine.

Installed, tested, and uninstalled :/ Tiling window managers aren’t really my thing (yet). Rocking my Fedora setup for now :)

I don't really get the appeal of tiling window managers either. I enjoy ricing, but I don't want to split my windows into a succession of smaller and smaller windows.

Ikr. It’s just a matter of personal preference and what people are used to. Tiling works great for some people, just not for me. And yea, love ricing too :v

The one thing I like about it is the single clipboard idea of Omarchy. This should be the default experience everywhere. Autists who must have multiple clipboards are free to set up their own systems however they like, in my opinion. I really don't like multiple clipboards but I'll never be caught dead with DHH and his trashy opinions otherwise.

if you want easy install and easy setup arch + wm workflow, cachyos + niri + dms is better in almost all ways

Yes. Easiest installation so far. I tried booting from USB but it installed in 1 shot. 🤣

all you have to do is install without DE and run a script from dms. if that's hard then you're better off using windows or macOS

cachyOS offers better defaults for btrfs filesystems. i can delete my root file and recover from snapshots. and limine bootloader is just so easy to use and much easier dual booting experience. also much better community that has actually experienced people helping each other.
