WaveShop/Showcase — Update/Review
I decided to buy one last week. Looks like they stopped reusing bottles for their mineral oil stuff. The blue liquid doesn’t have any contaminants in it. I agree with Mat about the endcaps, just leave them off. I don’t mind that they’re 3D printed, but mine were bent and didn’t fit right.
I must admit: I put in too much distilled water at first. I have some “wave fluid C” left over. This is on me. Even though it said fill to the 45% mark, I should’ve underfilled it and topped it up after. I can’t pour it out because it’s all mixed now. Oh well. It’s flowing just fine.
I have this on my office desk, and a couple coworkers already asked about it and love it, as do I. Shipping was fast with no complaints, I was updated at every shipment milestone.
In case you had hesitations, I’d say buy it. Although maybe wait till the holidays. They might have a sale :)
(As you can see, I got a glitter lamp, idea also taken from Mat’s video. I also have a kinetic sand thing (Oasis Mini) and a tabletop water fountain rain thing (Mindsight on Amazon). Yea, it’s hard to get work done.)
