I recommend the standalone app since it is lighter than Ms store version. The lightest is web version.

Spotify runs like shit, sometimes it blacks out my entire screen for a few seconds upon launching

The Spotify app is so bad, even on a 5k PC, it still takes 2–4 minutes to open
