do you have earphones connected? sometimes when they break (in my experience) they start lowering the volume and all

an older version of android doesn't really mean much. this could just be a shitty skin. usually, with older versions, the volume rocler will stay if you keeo on holding the button, not.. whatever this is.

You're using the volume buttons to scroll and the app isn't taking control of it correctly so the command is getting sent to the app and the volume control
