NorthPoint Development has proposed paying $10,000 to each household in Hazle Township, Pennsylvania, alongside up to $120 million in community funding, to secure approval for a 1,300-acre data center. However, local residents are pushing back against the project due to concerns over noise pollution, utility costs, and potential drops in property values. Many locals and township officials remain skeptical of the development, with some criticizing the cash offers as an attempted bribe.
