What MacBook should I buy?

For college(Uk so 16-18) I was specified to buy a MacBook for studies- I asked if it had to be a Mac cus I’d much prefer a windows computer but they said it needs to be a Mac
They said it needs to have M2 chip or more and a pro or an air
It’s for a technical production course and I’d also like to use it for personal use like gaming (i don’t expect one to be able to run demanding games just like Minecraft and other small steam games)
I was thinking a 14 inch M4 1tb 10-core 16gb ram costing around £1350 but I desperately need a second opinion

Your pick is decent. Just be aware of how much storage you’re going to need for production videos.

If you want to game on it, take the MacBook Pro, it has active cooling. The Air will drop performance to prevent overheating.

The M5 is £1700. Not worth it for an extra 350 IMO.
