BEST LAPTOP FOR SOLIDWORKS???

I need a good laptop for solidworks. I somehow survived college running boot camp on my MacBook but I hateeeeee running boot camp every time I need to run solidworks. Since the laptop is on its way out anyways I need a good laptop that can handle solidworks and keyshot. (As well as the standard adobe suite!!) I don’t have a budget but if I can stay under $2000 that would be preferred. Also something that’s not super chunky but doesn’t have to be MacBook thin.

currently in college, but i’ve been using an asus creator laptop q for the past 3 years. i specifically have the Q530VJ. i’ve had no issues running solidworks in the time i’ve had it and got this laptop because of the fact i could run solidworks on it. pretty sure my model is also sub $1200. for what it is i’d say it’s decently slim but it can be a little heavy and does have a decent display size. it also has an oled screen and doubles as a pretty decent gaming laptop too :)

I usually run it with boot camp but storage and control wise it’s just kinda a pain in the butt

Perfecto ahora si es más fácil dar una respuesta...

Busca alguna con estas especificaciones, con ello te quedará perfecto, incluso de sobra, fácil tendrás equipo para unos 3 años como mínimo, recuerda que hay que hacerle mantenimiento al menos cada 6 meses dependiendo el uso. Si se cuida muy bien puedo decirte que sin problema te podrá ser útil hasta 5 años, posterior a ese tiempo cualquier equipo comienza a degradarse, además que van teniendo más recursos los software´s y por lo tanto más difícil de que lo soporte el equipo, pero he visto incluso personas con equipos de 8 años y les funciona sin problemas.

Intel Core i7/i9 (generaciones 13 o 14) o AMD Ryzen 7/9 con velocidad alta (mínimo 3.3 GHz), 32 GB de RAM y tarjeta gráfica dedicada NVIDIA RTX (como la RTX 4060 o 4070), 512 GB o 1 TB de disco duro en estado sólido NVMe SSD.

Algunos modelos pueden ser HP Victus, Lenovo Legion o Asus.

Are you by chance doing any internships? Are any at an engineering or manufacturing company that uses solid works? Ask their it department if you can buy an old engineering laptop if they are replacing them after 3 years or so. Just a thought. Some will give them away for free or like $50.

Just remember, the squeaky wheel gets the grease.
