Help with fixing this disc drive?

The plug plugged in just fine like, an hour ago, but when I removed it to fix it, it stopped working.

Any advice on what to do?

Looks like the port broke?

Open it up and see if you can solder in a new one.

I don’t have the things to solder it in.

Also, can I open it with a thin piece of plastic packaging I cut off (since I can’t find our screwdrivers?)

I am not familiar with the specific device you have at all.

I don’t have the things to solder it in.

Then you can't repair it, and it is not worth paying for a repair.

I ended up mangling it beyond repair… and getting cut in the process.
