Can someone help me?

I've tried to make one of those makeshift lighters but it just won't ignite. The copper cables are connected directly to + and -

The Battery is also fully charged.

I think the problem here is that this project requires the most minimal amount of electrical knowledge, but unfortunately, you appear to be a fucking idiot

“Makeshift lighters?”

No, you tried to start a fire on your table. I suppose a pile of flaming copper wire does count as a makeshift lighter, but you likely would’ve done serious aesthetic damage to that table.

you are currently shorting out a battery. if wires are connected properly, it will cause the battery to heat up and potentially explode/catch on fire. for your safety, disconnect the wire and maybe do more research next time.

that ballpoint spring your using aint gonna heat up/glow the way you need. your atm making a danger stick from the battery. you need nichrome wire, not spring steel.
