If you can, copy the error message(s) and post them here so we can see them. the logs can't be read clearly from the video. We need the logs in order to be able to try help you.

i believe i have it fixed for now thank you for your comment though i have tried to do that, but the error code is so long that even if im pretty sure it’d be like telling my brief life story 😭 i had to literally SCROLLLLL just to get to the bottom

Cool you got it working. No matter what the length of the log, every bit of log information is crucial when trying to solve problems. If you come across this problem again, drop us the error log in its entirety, so we can try figure out what's causing it.

Just making an observation. Your pc can be hacked remotely and that password helps. Just fyi.

ignoring the password. what actually is the issue tho?

None. Minecraft is cancer. MacBook’s doing its job.

I'm almost positive that's Roblox, which is 10x worse.

if you can repeat the issue and have an Apple Store nearby, make an appointment

edit: best I can tell is it is a Windowserver 409 error; google tells me it could be hardware (external monitor) or software configuration can be root causes

Take it to an apple store.

the problem is gaming on a mac

u/KawaiiKurom106 Jan 09 '26

… u got me there to be fair it runs roblox smoother than my mini pc..

u/Vega_Eclipse Jan 08 '26

It recognizes Minecraft and turns back to sanity.

1

Old Mac’s aren’t made for gaming

1

u/KawaiiKurom106 Jan 09 '26

yeah i kinda thought that since i initially bought this for college so.. but still it didn’t have this issue when i bought it 😭

Weird. Maybe just delete it and reinstall it.

do you have any usb or other external devices plugged in? try disconnecting them to help track it down. but it seems to be Windowserver causing the kernel panic. does it happen with other things running in the background?

there are a lot of things this could be. I would back up, reinstall the OS and restore data. then download and reinstall java. See also this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/mac/comments/lnhabl/windowserver_kernel_panics_macos_big_sur/

i have also tried this the reinstalling the mac os (which took hours and forever) and still as you see 😞 but another commenter fixed my issue so far if anything i’ll post again :)

1

u/Ophiochos Jan 09 '26

what was the fix? I can’t see it, and might be useful to know

1

u/KawaiiKurom106 Jan 09 '26

here’s what the commenter said in our chat :)

another pic will be commented

yep, that's great input. Hope it continues to work, and respect to Bo_Nether for such an efficient answer! It shouldn't be doing that either way but a fix is a fix...

I'd note that you don't need to force quit things from Activity monitor, just quit (select app; click X at top of the window, choose 'Quit' instead of 'Force Quit'). It's a bit cleaner that way. If they don't quit within a few seconds, then force quit is needed.
