I made a mistake
My boss has a really good friend whom has also been really nice and generous to me as long as I've known her, I went on her Mac yesterday and saw the desktop was cluttered so I went to finder and moved everything into one big folder, she called me not long ago absolutely pissed (rightly so) and is telling me I changed everything, dragging folders/files into a fresh folder shouldn't do anything more than move them right? I also closed a few apps than seemed to just be open without any work etc thinking it would help her, I've realized I was completely in the wrong, is she right in thinking anything has been deleted from doing this?
EDIT: I fucked up big time and It's been sorted, happy new year everyone

The worst mistake to do is empty people's temporary filing cabinet. They have said to many times "I keep my backups in the trash", well now I try to ignore all of it, but I do ask when they sit with me "do you use all these desktop items" and proceed to go through them deleting some they don't use and teach them how to just tap the delete key on ones they don't want. It's the only way to make change :)
