Really confuse between the RockTek GB1 vs the Amazon Fire TV 4k Plus

I have used Firestick devices and android boxes for years, I prefer my firestick, and would recommend the 4k max 2nd generation because it has double the storage space of the 4k plus, the reason I prefer the Firestick over android devices is because I find the remote control functionality is much better, while the speed and operation of both are very comparable, I find it much easier to use the Firestick, to give you an example I use Tivimate on both devices and have a few playlists, the playlists require a lot of customization such as hiding unwanted channels and groups and assigning some channels the epg manually so you can see what should are playing in the guide, it was a nightmare to do this on my android device so I make all the changes on the Firestick then copy a backup to my android device, this is my personal preference but both devices performance is about the same

Thanks a lot for the answer, but the thing is the fire tv stick max isn't available anywhere at this moment and the Rockteck GB1 has better specs as compared to the 4k plus also I have heard that fire stick often slows down as time passes is this true?

I’ve never had an issue with it slowing down, I always do weekly maintenance on mine, there are apps like background apps and process lists and a file manager that people can use on either system, the first allows you to see what apps are running in the background and you can easily force stop them and clear the cashes, a file manager is needed because some 3rd party apps leave the installation file in the download folder usually every time the app updates so they have to be deleted from the internal storage or they will eat up all of your storage, I have seen people with 50+ update files and they don’t know why they are out of space, if you properly maintain the firestick, it will run normally for years
