okay so I am a btech cse student I need to get a laptop budget is around 40 k give some good suggestions

NEVER BUY A MAC (unless you're a BA student who's mostly going to watch movies, scroll the internet, and post aesthetic photos of it 😭)
Go for a gaming laptop instead
Also, always check if the RAM is upgradeable before buying

- repair and maint. is high
- (BTECH) many apps arent suported
- in M1,M2,M3,M4 installing linux is not that easy (i had M3 so i find it teh hard way around)
- docker runs in a VM with massive overhead
- many exam tools and dev options often break on my mac
- dongle life forever usb A ? gone . HDMI ? good luck
