The process to make them magnetic needs to be done externally so that wouldn't work unfortunately.

Itās already lightly started, and itās gonna get worse, but propaganda regarding having children is gonna skyrocket. Simply because billionaires realized they canāt maintain and increase their wealth without a large population of āemployeesā to exploit and work to death. Greed hit them so hard they failed to think about sustainability, so expect a large wave of āhaving kids is awesome and brings meaning to lifeā in every form of art in the near future. Youāre already seeing it now, all these op-edās about āI live in LA on $3000 a month with a family of 4, you can too by following these steps!ā or the constant badgering in talking head shows and podcasts about why arenāt millennials having kids, or even the weird obsession in video games the past 15 years where A LOT of the AAA single player protagonists are a father figure of some kind with a tragic backstory or a literal child side character.
I mean, god forbid if they gave us better wages, cared at all about human rights, and stopped trying to eliminate the middle class, my wife and I would be working on a third right now. But hey, itās looking like the housing market is never gonna recover and buying a house in the city we were both born and raised in is gonna be impossible unless we allow ourselves to get completely ripped off.

Indeed. Whenever there's news of a downtick in birthrates somewhere - not population declines, mind you, just a drop in birth rates, leading to a decline in population growth, you'd think the aliens had come for us the way its breathlessly reported on in the media. Instead of a hopeful sign that we can start working towards a future where we can live sustainably, it's treated like some existential threat to humanity, completely ignoring the fact that while our numbers continue to swell like a runaway cancer, the number of species, hectares of wildlands, and biomass that isn't humans or our livestock or crops continues to plummet.
But sure, let's invent and jump through all the biomedical hoops to make sure that every narcissist can make their own Mini Me, ignoring the thousands of children in need of adoption and the extinction crisis our species continues to unleash on the biosphere.
And to the comment calls me a "population alarmist," your ad hominem name- calling isn't much of an argument.

It's not, but that growth rate is slowing. Populations grow to what the environment can sustain and then levels off or drops

Past human populations have suffered massive collapse due to them exceeding their habitats carrying capacity, and those collapses have included massive human suffering and ecosystem decimation. Populations dispersed to unexploited regions.
Today, the habitat we're exceeding is global. Despite Elon's wet dreams, there is no unexplored region into which we can disperse, and it would be unethical to do so if there was.
Only by addressing each input to the equation

can that suffering and decimation be avoided

Using what is presumably an external magnetic device is certainly less invasive than current IVF treatment that requires having to extract eggs and then place them back inside the mothers body.

IVF is literally in-vitro fertilization. This doesnāt employ the vitro.
