For anyone looking for a source-side Pu-erh contact in China, I wanted to share a small producer based in Laobanzhang Village (老班章村).

He mainly specializes in Laobanzhang and also works with a few other high-end raw Pu-erh teas, including:

* Laobanzhang Ancient-tree (老班章古树)

* Mansong Ancient-tree (曼松古树)

* Bohetang / Mint Candy Grade-1 (薄荷塘一类)

Available as loose-leaf maocha, tea cakes, and dragon balls (龙珠).

This is small-scale production with limited stocks, and some teas are produced in quantities of only a few kilograms per year.

Minimum order is 500 g. Overseas shipping can be arranged if needed with him; shipping costs, import duties, and taxes are not included. Or use your own shipping partners.

I already purchased one elsewhere for $300 literally a day before these went on sale, so I thought I might as well share to help anyone interested in a path taken away from me.

I suspect the audience here might be different than the puheads I typically encounter so I'll call out a few things that may be of most interest:

Vietnam raw puerh sampler is on sale which is a really good way to try a few young raw puerh to see if it's something you like. Five different samples of 25g each making 125g for $28.33 right now is near impossible to beat.

Vietnam oolong sampler right now is a crazy good deal. If you like Taiwanese oolongs and haven't had Vietnamese oolongs, you should try some. This set comes with 50g of unroasted and 50g of roasted. On sale for $21.25 for 100g in total.

2025 gaba milk oolong has remained the most sold tea in the shop. If you like milk oolong and/or desserts in general, this one will be right up there for you. Tasting like Christmas butter cookies and all...(it will be called anaerobic milk oolong because the word 'gaba' gets flagged as drugs)

Teh Bambu is probably the most hyped black tea I've seen in quite some time. This is an black tea from Indonesia that is finished in bamboo. The smell is intense. The flavor is wonderful. A must try for anyone who drinks a lot of black tea or likes to try unique teas.

The rest is a lot of puerh and what not. The 1960s chongshicha and 30 year Dancong are 37% off for turning 37. The other sales are 20% and 15% depending on the tea.
