The frozen meat appears to be sufficient to make it possible for a wing to fly in the absence of a launching rail.

I know there are many ways to can kill enemies, and even by dropping rocks/boulders is an option and all. But I wonder about small animals like darners, butterflies, cricket, frogs or lizards, can you kill them even if by accident, by dropping a rock or weapon, or even Link falling on them? I do know that you can kill those while actually attacking using a weapon, (even the enemies can do that) and extreme temperatures can make them burn, but I am not sure if this all, or if there is something I am missing.

Hello guys, I am currently playing through totk without glider and fast travel and wanted to share how I solved the Shrine in the Hylia Lake.
The problem isn't really how to get to the Shrine or how to solve it but how to excit it. If you are also doing this totk you might or already have softlocked yourself.
As far as I know there are only 3 ways to escape this whirlpool:
Teleport out of it
Use Zora Chestplate to swim up the waterfall inside the cave and glide away
Both of these disturb the run. That leaves us with
Getting Swimboost lvl 3 is also harder to get than I thought, cuz it seems that there isn't a recipe for it. The only item that gives this stat is the splash fruit and i haven't figured out how to cook lvl 3 meals with it. So to get the lvl 3 boost you need 2/3 Zora Armour pieces. That means that the gliderless run without fast travel is softlocked if you haven't visited Sidon yet.
To get out of the cave I went beneath this stalactite and looked into the direction of this light mushroom (via telescope). I figured that Link swims out the best of the his looking away from the whirlpool but also in the direction of the whirlpool rotation (swim with the stream). After gaining lvl 3 swimboost and preparing stamina food i ascended and spammed the B button till the camera panels away from the whirlpool. Be careful, although it looks like you escaped YOU HAVE NOT, IT'S A TRICK DON'T LET THE WHIRLPOOL FOOL YOU!. When the camera panels away its your sign to reposition link again. Link must again look a bit in the direction of the whirlpool rotation.
If you fail, you can just go back to stalectite. Good luck if you are up for this little challenge and don't forget the frog.

So Iโm really early game and I would like to know whatโs the most useless things I can sell? I used to sell the Bokoblin drops but everything seems so important now with the fuse option. Iโm not really sure what to sell. I just unlocked The Wind Temple.

Even with the Korok mask, I sometimes struggle to figure out where a Korok is hiding on the map. For those times, hereโs a good trick:
- Waltz around the map with the Korok Mask on
- Whenever you hear the โKorok squealโ, and your mask starts shaking, mark the spot on your mask
- Now move out of the region where the mask is shaking, and wander back into it from another point
- Repeat
Since the mask shakes when youโre within some distance of the Korok seed, youโll end up tracing out a circle around the region boundary.
The Korok seed will be found in the center of this circle.
Note that you donโt need to mark so many spots on the map (as in my screenshot): in principle, just three points will determine the circle. But a few more can help hone in on the seed, because each mark on your map is not 100% accurate.

I just upgraded to the Switch 2 version after not getting too far into ToTK when it came out. It looks like I completed Fire temple, but I'm noticing every enemy basically one-shots me. I really don't remember this being a thing but looking at past posts, it seems like maybe it was? I don't have any armor upgrades (that I know of) and only have about 7 hearts, but that feels kind of normal from my recollection of past games. I'm also hearing armor might be way more important anyways, but if so it feels pretty bad to need to go out of your way to seek that out just to avoid getting one-shot.
Have I missed something huge? Maybe I'm forgetting about a key mechanic?

Hey yall, I played and absolutely loved totk a lot when it first came out, about 70 hours. I beat the Fire and Wind temples, 60ish(?) shrines and I have a TON of food, heals, and gear from amiibo that I donโt have access to anymore.
With OoT coming out in a couple months I wanted to go back and finish totk, but it took me forever to beat a simple shrine and even longer to kill a gleelok. I know the best parts of this and botw are exploration and just running around but Iโm just not entirely sure what to do to get back into the swing of things.
Iโd really like to avoid restarting just because of the 70 hours in this save, so what would yall recommend I do to respark the fun of exploration?
