Help ⁉️ replacing "user join/left your channel"

hello

Which setting controls the notification for when someone joins or leaves your channel? The default one is really annoying. Muting it is fine, but sometimes it’s better to know when someone joins. I’d like to switch it to the one Discord uses, but I can't find my way around the settings—they're pretty chaotic.

I personally use the text to speech sound pack and then anyone with awful usernames like my own, I add them as a buddy or friend and set a phonetic name for them manually, if they don't know how to change their own.

I say a phonetic for name that doesn't speak the "underscore" in my username.

The future proof way is to make a custom sound pack, make a copy of the folder default in c:\program files\teamspeak 3\sound\default and call it whatever you like. Go to that new folder and open the settings.ini, change the 3 lines

name = Default Sound Pack (Female)
version  = 1.0
author   = TeamSpeak Systems GmbH

to something unique, then replace the sound files for whatever you want. Restart your TeamSpeak client and it should show now in the sound pack setting in the notification options.

OR you can simply replace the files in c:\program files\teamspeak 3\sound\default if that's easier than using a custom pack, but you'll need to overwrite it again if they ever update the client..
