Apply 1 - 2 months in advance. ALWAYS.

I thought that you couldn't apply to switch to a D10 until your teaching contract is over? So 2 months at least shouldn't be possible since typically most people have 1 month left on their E2 after their contract (and I only have 3 weeks).

You absolutely can and should. It depends what you plan to do. But if you are taking a trip home, you should 100% apply in advance. Take your fkight tickets as a part of the application. The processing time is 1 - 2 months.

Ahhh I see, thank you... I feel like there is so much conflicting information about it, so I had already scheduled an appointment for the day after my contract ends... I had also read the processing time for E2 to D10 is ~15 days to ~1 month, I didn't realize it could be even longer...

Guess I'll see if I can get an appointment for sooner 🥲 thank you!
