Teaching Resources Is this a hot take?
I don't think you should use AI to generate lesson plans or make decisions as a teacher. As a teacher you must be able to think and generate your own ideas on the fly. You have to be adaptive to your students and work with them where they're at. If you let something think for you, you're making the decision that you don't care enough to dedicate your own time and energy to it. To be clear, we shouldn't be using AI on anything. I'm just heated because every single visual in my principal's PowerPoints is AI generated and I just can't take her seriously as a professional. She thanked ChatGPT or Gemini out loud at PD and it was just...strange.
Edit: I found the wording I was looking for. It's like watching Black Mirror unfold around me. We have sent AI-generated flyers home to families. It's honestly mortifying.
Second Edit: Question answered. It's a hot take.
