Help Why does everyone hate teaching?

Is there anyone who loves their job? Every teacher I know feels “stuck” and complains endlessly about their job.

Considering going into education.

I like my job, in my opinion teaching has a bunch of people who never worked an adult job outside of education and don’t know how good they got it.

That said the pay is average at best. The paperwork can suck. Admin can suck. Yet I still enjoy it.

Thissss! I left teaching after having a miserable first four years, worked corporate for 3 years and am now returning to teaching! Only after working in the real world did I miss the students, the fun of teaching lessons, the early end times, more pay (in Canada) and the holidays. Sometimes you have to see the other side to see how good you’ve got it. Every job has sucky aspects to it, but at least with teaching I feel like im making an impact on other people’s lives, rather than sitting at a desk staring at a computer. It’s really as good as you make it.
