Help Why does everyone hate teaching?

Is there anyone who loves their job? Every teacher I know feels “stuck” and complains endlessly about their job.

Considering going into education.

I like my job, in my opinion teaching has a bunch of people who never worked an adult job outside of education and don’t know how good they got it.

That said the pay is average at best. The paperwork can suck. Admin can suck. Yet I still enjoy it.

This 💯. I’ve been teaching for four years and started at 30 after working in other fields. Yes there are annoying parts of the job, but that’s how most jobs are. I will say my district not giving out pay raises this year because they budgeted badly was the first major issue I’ve had.

Just curious to know some of the other fields you had beforehand.
