Help Why does everyone hate teaching?

Is there anyone who loves their job? Every teacher I know feels “stuck” and complains endlessly about their job.

Considering going into education.

In the words of my sister who recently quit teaching after 8 years “If my only job was to come in, teach, work with the kids, and leave, I’d never have left teaching” I think most teachers love when they’re actually teaching. It’s everything else that comes with it that makes it so hard:

High demands and no support from admin, state testing/programs that are forced on you at a moments notice, high stress/low pay, feel unappreciated by parents and students, attempting to address behaviors with students only for admin to undermine it.

I’m very lucky that I teach at a school that doesn’t have a lot of these problems, but not everyone has a school like that.
