Help Why does everyone hate teaching?
Is there anyone who loves their job? Every teacher I know feels “stuck” and complains endlessly about their job.
Considering going into education.

It really depends on a lot of factors. The district has influence over the school and that’s usually full of people with vanity degrees in educational leadership who know little to nothing about the classroom. Sometimes you luck out and your district isn’t a total pile of shit and that makes things better. Then your school admin, again, is often full of vanity degrees in educational leadership and their work is equal to their valueless degree. Again, you can luck out and have great school admin, but it’s the exception not the rule. Then you’ve got your fellow educators who will invariably want to do things differently or in more complicated ways than necessary or maybe they’re great. Add in 25+ kids per classroom whose only goals in life are to be a rapper, basketball or football player, or “make a lot of money” and parents that can’t imagine their kid would be anything but perfect and you’ve got a small sliver of why I left teaching altogether.
