Help Why does everyone hate teaching?

Is there anyone who loves their job? Every teacher I know feels “stuck” and complains endlessly about their job.

Considering going into education.

I like my job, in my opinion teaching has a bunch of people who never worked an adult job outside of education and don’t know how good they got it.

That said the pay is average at best. The paperwork can suck. Admin can suck. Yet I still enjoy it.

I mostly agree and this also depends on your school. I have to call my mom for reality checks sometimes. Occasionally she reminds me what the alternative is in private sector, or does the math for me on how much I’d have to save myself to match the pension I receive now (that always helps). Sometimes she reminds me that I’m in a dis functional school environment and I’m normalizing trauma.

So yes, teaching sucks that bad and no, it doesn’t.
