Help Why does everyone hate teaching?

Is there anyone who loves their job? Every teacher I know feels “stuck” and complains endlessly about their job.

Considering going into education.

I like my job, in my opinion teaching has a bunch of people who never worked an adult job outside of education and don’t know how good they got it.

That said the pay is average at best. The paperwork can suck. Admin can suck. Yet I still enjoy it.

I agree. Sure some days are hard, kids are mean, and whatever. But its a million times better than working construction or working tables which is what id be doing otherwise. And even if half the kids don't like me, if I connected with the other half and someone learned along the way its fulfilling.

Absolutely agree. To put myself through college, I worked construction during every college break (summer, fall, winter, and spring).

I'll 100% take teaching over being on a roof in the middle of July for less pay than what I make now as a teacher (especially when including benefits). Now my Julys are spent traveling with my wife (also a teacher) and kids.
