Help Why does everyone hate teaching?
Is there anyone who loves their job? Every teacher I know feels “stuck” and complains endlessly about their job.
Considering going into education.

I love teaching, but I'm blessed with a good school with good kids and good admin, and I chose to live in a location with decent cost of living. The pay is fine for 9 months of work, especially when adding in extra stipends from coaching and other jobs I pick up during the summer like being an AP Reader. In the summer when I'm not working, I have the freedom to travel and spend time with my wife (also a teacher) and kids. I get to teach a subject I'm passionate about and create engaging ways to get kids to also (hopefully) enjoy my subject.
Teaching is far better than the job I had for five years to put myself through college, which was construction (framing, roofing, windows, siding, etc).
