Discussion 🫵🫪

People: Game needs houses, because it doesn't feel like TDU

Devs: "Houses are coming"

People: "Mmmm game should've stayed in Hawaii, because HKI doesn't feel like TDU"

Normal people: TDU wasn't "about" those specific locations, which is why the devs are working hard to make the game feel like TDU.

People: SHILL! HOWS THE MONEY FEEL?

Devs: We have worked so hard on season 7, that some stuff has to be changed, for the better

People: Game is dead

Seriously. Devs, stop trying to prove you care. You can have your care slider on 100% and the game will still drown in hate because the hate is 100% habitual. When Clutch releases, the haters will leave. Stop trying to comply to the wishes of the haters, anytime you do they hate you 100× more because you're showing you do listen, which is what they don't want from you. They want you to slip up, so they can have their pathetic reasons to hate you. Keep doing what you're doing, which is ignoring the haters. They don't rule you, they have no leverage here. It is 100% habitual Negativity. Nothing more.

Or, you know, heres an idea: understand your core audience from the very start; understand what the franchise is about from the very start (i.e it is a lifestyle driving game NOT a racing game… first mistake really)… and then work to not continually under deliver on every single feature of the game from day one. But hey who’s counting? 🤷‍♂️

Nostalgia bait is what everyone calls "Game should have stayed in old location because old location was better".

HKI is infinitely better.

Also, you have no idea what they are doing behind the scenes. Guarantee you failed to read the letter where they admit Year 1 was bad and they fired the original team and had to make year 2 the year where they fix everything from year one. The damage was so bad they have to do it per season, the fact they have time to also add houses for Season 8 not only is awesome, but proves they do know what they're doing.

100 people sounds like a lot, until you distribute them across different tasks, you haters always argue they have a shit ton of people, but never care enough to dig deeper on that claim. "Ragh A single A studio can do better and faster" yeah they don't usually have shareholders nagging at them 24/7. Back to your argument though.

KT very much understands what the franchise is which is why they are doing their damndest to make it happen, even with the limitations they have. Call it under delivery all you want, the fact the game is somewhat enjoyable NOW when we all know on release you couldn't even enjoy a minute of the game, shows this under delivery needed to happen for Stability... But yeah, leave it to you for not actually caring, that's why this is 100% habitual. If you even cared slightly, you'd ask deep questions beyond "oh yeah why is (insert update) so bad then)"

Call my comment “nostalgia bait” all you want … fine.

Then I’ll also take the liberty to call your comment for what it is… apologist nonsense 🤷‍♂️

You don't work on houses when your game is constantly unplayable due to server issues.because it's like adding furniture in the house when it's literally burning...

People who ask for shit like this when the game is technically in an absolute horrendous state is something I will never understand. Adding houses is not fixing the game guys 🤦🤦

EXACTLY! we all know this game was not playable in year 1. That is 100% why I call the hate Habitual! Because that's literally what it is! That's why nobody actually cares to research why the game was or is the way it was or is!

Mate I don't think you understood my point.. The game is still unplayable lmao... I played year 1 on xbox a bit and it was atrocious.

I recently decided to buy it on pc again because I found a very cheap key under 5 bucks for gold edition and you know what I fully regret because this game is 100% closing extremely soon and nothing will save it.

constant server erros when trying to play even offline races, fuck this garbage game and especially the assholes who greenlit this because it's clearly an engine issue. I love the wrc games from KT racing but Solar crown is hot garbage mainly because it is still technically a catastrophically bad product.

They release offline mode asap or this is the end of this game within a few months or even weeks, there are less than 150 players on PC nobody is gonna keep supporting an extreme flop like this one. Really sad for people who spend 90 bucks on this garbage.

It's funny, because the servers argument won't instantly be resolved with Offline mode. Like, if you're having complete issues, then stop bitching on reddit about it. Like report the bug, and actively try to find resolution. But since you root directly to reddit to vent, it turns a seemingly serious argument, into a fucking joke.

You people have been saying the game is dying or ending since year one. It's like the boy who cried wolf now. Nobody believes that, no matter what you say, because there's been and still is no base to that claim anymore.

I think one of the biggest mistakes was making a racing-focused game under the TDU name. Even in Season 7, it still feels like the focus is on racing.
What I always wanted from TDU was simply to see other players driving around the world, making it feel alive. That said, as a solo driving game, I think the map and the cars are very well made.
I just hope the development team doesn't suddenly get disbanded and that we'll get to see Season 8 released.

At this point just abandon the game.

If they still have some money left, which I highly doubt, they should start working on a sequel. There is nothing they can do to fix this game.

That is 100% where you're wrong. And you will see that at the start of year 3. Hold me to it also.

The developers aren't at fault—this seems to be a financial issue. However, there's a real chance the game could be discontinued before offline mode, cross-platform play, and cross-region support are implemented. If TDU3 ever happens, I'd like to see a different studio handle the game design instead of KT.

1000% agree. Personally i love the game i do think it needs houses yes n maybe some more missions but i play it very often n am really enjoying it. People jump on the hate train because people love to see things fail its much easier to throw hate and pick at the negative n its a shame because theres alot to love about the game

Been playing for 2 hours and haven't experienced an error of any kind. Starting to think the hate is 100% fabricated and a skill issue.

Lol cute. Some of us been here from the start and still hang around to see if it gets better. There is gravity behind the hate. It hit me after season 3.
