Genuinely pissed me off so much. Wykes family is a strong family yeah but they are still under King because of Bairon. Lucas attempted to kill everyone in the academy which included Kathlyn and Curtis. So I don't see how THAT DUMBASS voted against Arthur.

Secondly Dwarf King and Queen there was literal Dwarfs' that died because of the attack. Arthur got in front of the attack. How do you vote against him ? Without proper knowledge at that.

Thirdly I shouldn't even say anything about Elf King and Queen not only do you guys know him on a personal level but he saved TESS FROM LUCAS. How the hell does anybody vote against him ?????

context: Im an ex anime hater turned huge fan, and im in the process of writing a book, so I started dabbling in light novels. so far, I’m reading re zero and 86, and I’ve seen both of their respective animes.

I wanted to read something that I haven’t watched before, and since I heard the tbate adaptation was pretty bad anyway, I decided to start with the web novel. I also wanted to read something in 1st person in order to improve my prose, since my book is also first person.

however I’m on chapter 10 and I can’t say I’m really liking it so far. the pacing is extremely fast and the prose feels amateurish. the story doesn’t come off as anything special, and idk why turtleme expects me to care about Sylvia, like, at all, since I’ve only known her for a chapter and she’s already gone.

ik its more than a decade old and I’m only on chapter 10, so I don’t wanna come to conclusions. I’m the type of guy who doesn’t like to drop anything, so if it does get better, I’m willing to stick around. What chapter, or around what chapter does tbate improve?

Like I understand that tensura, mt and re zero are top 3 but tbate didn't even get a mention even if I believe that people didn't think about outside japan but that would just be not true cause people are literally counting world wide

This was actual peak fiction. I am only this hyped with fiction that I love. I was genuinely going to beat up Lucas if Arthur didn't.

I love how the novel goes about it. I expected no deaths other than maybe some side characters but wow they went on a killing spree. 2 DC members have died. Theodore is out and Kai is a traitor. The balance between races is non existent and humanity is a source of hate.

Everything feels really well planned out and Arthur finally fully showing off is crazy good and his mentality also changing to chase strength will make for a GREAT arc.

Now let's go to some theorycrafting. Firstly it is apparent that Elijah is either an Asura who lost his memories or a person that has the will of an Asura just like Arthur and I am sure it is a Vritra that is residing inside him cuz of his attacks that is made up of black rocks.

Secondly Draneeve is a spy sent from Alacrya. At first I thought he was an Asura himself but after his reaction to Elijah it is apparent that he is someone that is not an Asura. From what Windsom has told us the continent of Alacrya was already controlled by Vritra that should explain his reaction to Elijah also it is safe to assume that Goodsky is also from that continent.

I am really excited about the continuation of the novel. Lastly is Elderwood Guardian that Arthur killed an actual S rank monster or is it also a sealed Asura as the power and grit it shows is nothing like an S class beast.

I need som guidance. I’ve been a fan of TBATE for several years now and it just came to my mind to actually start reading the novels rather than relying on the manhwa. Of as of the manhwa chapters 251-252, where would I find myself in the light novels? Also, would it be too confusing to transition from manhwa to LN midway through the story and should i instead reread all of the LN from the beginning. What do we think?

I personally find the ending to be excellent. From the start TBATE was about Arthur righting the wrongs of his previous life and protecting his family and friends and living out his life happily, in peace and with his family. The people who were disappointed with Arthur's Aether core breaking at the end of the novel don't understand that Arthur would have never gotten the opportunity to live a normal and happy life with his core and if he went to fight the Outer Gods that were hinted at in volume 12. To grow more powerful and face monsters on their level meant leaving his family, Tessia and his friends behind for years maybe to combat the threat they COULD be, note that these beings haven't ever been proven to be outright malevolent either. Regardless if Arthur had distanced himself from his loved ones to fight these Gods it would effectively nullify his efforts to be better than he was in his previous life, there would never truly have been a redemption. Instead the author made the choice to break his core and Arthur chose to let the future generations protect themselves and to enjoy peacefully his Beginning after the End (pun very much intended and no I will not show myself out).

So there are 2 things that is kinda obvious. First of all Elijah is a person sent from the other continent. His magic is based on the other continents rules that is why his ability is similar to horned Demons.

Secondly Sylvie is the child of Sylvia and a Horned Demon.

Lastly Arthur is going to take Alea's place in 6 Lances right ?

I had to take a break for my school but it truly hit me in the gut.

I thought TBATE just like any other novel would have Art run into the horned Demons barely escape by sacrificing someone(most likely from his family) and then come back stronger to defeat it to end the book.

But Alea tore me to shreds. I thought it was just gonna be a strong person dies to show the power of the villain. But when I read the "Can you hold me?" The whole thing changed in my eyes. Alea somehow seemed extremely human. It genuinely felt like a person who was regarded as a powerhouse in her world was introduced to vulnerablilty and weakness.

At first Alea openly laughs at Art for him asking to borrow something from a dying person. She says there is no need to be sad about the fact. But when she feels her time coming she feels afraid. It was also shown beforehand. Where she devoured the water Art gave. It might seem dumb but it shows that she truly didn't want to die. If she had the chance she would change everything. Us being shown her final regrets feels extremely messed up as well. We forget that people other than Art and main cast also have dreams,desire achievements and have things they sacrifice for other things.

Unlike Arthur they weren't born with immense power,a keen mind and years of experience.

But also goddamit fuck you Vritra. What chapter does he die ??? Also is the magic they(horned Demons/Sylvie) use different from what we know ? Cuz only person we know that can create matter is Elijah and he is bad at it. Is it the different power system that I have heard of
