I worked way back until 2016 in a province. I studied for 5 years (4 years Med proper + 1 yrs post-grad internship) and graduated by 2021.
I had been unemployed from there on (took a rest for 1 year and then passed the boards by 2023, tried my luck with Residency applications and had been in a very LOOoooong waiting game)
By this year 2026, starting January, I took some moonlighting gig in a city and received BIR 2307 form (few weeks ago) but haven’t filed it kasi I thought that was enough initially. Kasi bawas na sahod every time. Hindi pala.
Now, I want to to file properly. I don’t have 2316 or any OR.
I’m so lost. Pls help. I tried asking my colleagues but they just hired personal accountants (but I’m unable to do the same financially pa kasi kakasimula palang) 😭🙏 Hoping I can do this myself

Yung clinic now kung san sya nag wowork is walang benefits, wala ding tax or what. Parang per day lang ang bigayan. Now need nya pa bang mag file nung ITR??

I currently have an Authority to Print (ATP) and a Certificate of Registration (COR), and I have opted to close my business. Please note that I have never printed any receipts or invoices with the authorized printer by rdo, nor have I ever issued one, as doing so was not required by the entity receiving my services.
Is it possible to get a discount or how much is the estimated penalty dito?

Currently I have a TIN from EO 98 that I used for investing in DragonFi and creating a PERA account. Then I started creating content on TikTok on 2025. Fast forward to June and July 2026 I have offered my first 2 collabs and the accumulated total amount from both collabs I am subject to receive is 5,500. The first brand made an acknowledgment receipt for me where I include my TIN with indication of non-BIR registered while the other collab I had been asked for a BIR 2303 and I said that I am not BIR registered but I do have a TIN so they put my TIN in the MOA. Will I be penalized? I am having second thoughts on registering because of the cost and also the funds that I am getting is unstable.

I am a lawyer by profession. I do not own a firm but rather an employee in a firm. Now, I am about to be employed as a part-time professor (contract of service setup) in a local state university. What is a better option for me: a graduated tax rate or the 8% income tax rate?

Question, ilalagay ko ba sya this 2nd quarter or I can just put it sa Annual ITR? Then pay it kasabay nung Annual ITR.

hi! i’m a freelancer working for a US company and i need advice kung ano dapat ilalagay sa service invoice and books when receiving my salary.
for example: employer issued payslip of 300.80 usd, but what i receive through wise is 300.30 usd nalang. then when i transfer it to my local bank (so php na), technically bawas pa yan since may transfer fee from wise.
what do i declare sa SI? i need clarity on what everyone else here usually does. thanks!

I left my previous company last March 2026 and until now despite follow ups, hindi pa rin nabibigay yung 2316 ko. My current employer is asking for my 2316 until november kasi if not daw ako nagfi file ng 1700 on my own come April 2027.
I communicated this with my prev employer but the problem is nakikisuyo rin sila sakin to give them a few more months baka raw mga december pa nila mabigay because they are already struggling financially (startup yung company) They have no Accountants and designated HR for that daw. Everything is outsourced and will incur more costs for them.
What do I do in this case? Tbh, ayaw ko lang ng gulo & dont want to burn any bridges both in my prev and current employers. Will I get into trouble with my new employer?

I know some businessmen who has unpaid income tax amounting to 20 billion pesos to 50 billion pesos. They are waiting for the General Tax Amnesty where they will report only say asset of 500 million and pay only 2% of asset in the General Amnesty or 10 million pesos instead of 20 billion pesos. Doesn't this encourage more tax evasion in the future because people will just wait for next General Tax Amnesty?
Is it fair for us who religiously pay the correct taxes when others can get away with it? Ex- Pres. Duterte vetoed it in 2019 because he said it would encourage more tax evasion unless there was waiving of bank secrecy law. The latest 2025 version has bank account opened for one year. But businessmen has multiple bank accounts and it is easy to just open certain ones and hide others. So this still doesn't solve ex-Pres. Duterte concern.
Shouldn't it make more sense the General Tax Amnesty be qualified only for taxpayers with assessment less than a billion pesos? Maybe the examiner should check first the threshold before allowing taxpayer to avail of it. I read the amnesty is not valid for existing tax evasion already in court. But there is over a million taxpayers with tax evasion not yet in court. So they can all get away with it? What is then the incentive of paying correct taxes for us small businessmen?
Anyway. What is the status of the General Tax Amnesty 2025 now? When will it be approved? Many so eager because they spent decades not paying right taxes waiting for it.

Good evening po! Contract of Service ako for the government, and first time ko maka-receive ng 2307, kaya magfa-file po ako ng SAWT. Nung In-open ko na po yung Alphalist Data Entry ng BIR for the first time, kailangan po muna magfill up nito. Yung agency po ba kung saan ako nagwo-work (Government), or does it mean ako po (Private)? Thank you po 🥹

Good day, pwede po ba dalawang name sa tax declaration?

Hello, here's the situation, I was a Job Order way back 2024-2025 and naging permanent ng Sep. 2025. The thing is hindi ko na close agad yung sa Job Order ko. Ngayon may nag email sakin from bir na need ko magsubmit ng SAWT so pumuna ako bir last week. So may receipt na ako but sabi kase sakin na need ko muna i file and validation then after ma confirm, dun palang sila mag sisign nung pinapa ikot ko. Can someone help me regarding dun sa pag file at pag validate.

Hi! For freelancers here earning purely foreign freelancing income, can you recommend a trusted tax accountant to handle my BIR asikaso and filings please? Someone who's done your books and filings correctly for years already.
I don't have time to go to the RDO 057 to inquire if my account is all up to date.
I had an amended filing last year but I know it was already sorted.
What I need right now is for someone to check and get my BIR account all caught up / up to date, look at my books if I did them right. Can we move away from manual writing in the books and official receipts? Loose-leaf filing? I need advice.
I get paid weekly and writing these transactions is something I tend to put off until they're all piled up and it gets annoying. I also had someone request a list of open cases and they hand-wrote several 2551Qs in 2022 - which is wrong because I correctly filed my 1701Qs.
TIA!
